Greetings to my fellow business addicts:
I decided I should give my brief feedback on a cool tool once per month. I plan on doing this Blog every Monday moving forward.
If you’ve had extensive conversations with me about technology, you’re aware I’m a big fan of Wave Apps. You can just call it Wave.
Wave is an online accounting tool. It’s free so I’m a huge fan. They generate revenue through payroll management and merchant services. Both seem to be on par for the market if not a little bit more affordable. I don’t use those features so we’ll skip over that.
The invoice themes are auto-generated and the site is easy to navigate. The simplicity and aesthetics really help set Wave apart. I’ve received compliments on the visuals of my invoices and I really have nothing to do with it. The theme matches up to your logo so that’s easy. Everything on your reports features a link to dig deeper all the way to the original transaction. There is also no limit to the amount of companies you can manage through their site.
Can there even be disadvantages? Of course there can be, stupid! Not everything is perfect. You only have the option for accrual accounting as compared to cash accounting or any other methods that may exist. There are also limitations with the settings and reports. These disadvantages should not be a big deal for most people especially since this is free. I wish there was a better CRM built-in too but not a big issue for me.
If you manage your own books and want to free up some cash flow, I would highly recommend considering Wave. This isn’t a fit for everyone but could make a big difference in your accounting department. Maybe try it out. Maybe don’t try it out. I don’t run your business so whatever you want to do. I’m just letting you know! Oh yeah, you can add other users too! Remember: Free.
